More advanced signalling to accomplish many functions Some radios can recieve from 1 to 10 combinations per memory channel; not limited to industry standard 2-Tone tables. This also enables multiple groups on the same channel (no scan or channel swich neccessary). Also enables alerts, alarms, and other usefull finctions.
